Dr. Lutfar Rahman Tofa was born in 1975 in Bishnupur village of Daulatpur upazila in Manikganj district of Bangladesh. Mother: RahimaKhatun Father: Abdul Latif.
He graduated from Dhaka University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree (honors) from the Department of Geography and Environment and a post-graduate degree, M. Sc. in 1996
(1st class2nd in position).
He received his M.Phil degree from the same university in 2010 for research on “Migration & Development “. He received his Ph..D. degree in 2015 from “Remittance & Poverty Alleviation”.
He started his service in 2001 as an employee of the Republic of Bangladesh under the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He passed BCS (Education), BCS (Information), BCS (Ansar) cadre. In the meantime, he has worked in 6 government organizations including Bangladesh Betar, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Teaching in colleges.
He is currently serving as the “Director” of the Bangladesh Ansarand Village Defense Party.
Meanwhile, he visited the Philippines in 2010 as a member of the Task Force of “The Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment on an exposure visit on manpower exports. He also visited Pieda Okulda in Turkey in 2016. Completed the Batallion Commander course from Thujla.
